Researchers at Prime Intellect released Prime Agent, an open source harness for long horizon agent evaluation and coding workflows, in an arXiv preprint updated 24 August 2026. The paper reports that the same underlying model scored 30 percent on ARC AGI 3 relative human action efficiency in a bare setup, then 95.5 percent when wrapped in Prime Agent's persistent REPL, memory, and recursive subagent tooling.
The authors frame the harness as a membrane between model capability and measured outcome. It standardizes execution, recovery, verification, and resource accounting while leaving strategy to the model.
