FreePSL (freepsl.com) is a PSL test you can try without an account. That matters if you want a face score before you decide whether the number is useful. You upload one clear face photo.

Its AI returns a PSL rating on the 1 to 8 scale used in looksmaxxing communities.

PSL is a score people use to talk about how a face looks. This is an independent guide from Classy AI News, based on what FreePSL publishes on its own site. The tool lives at freepsl.com.

Classy AI News is a separate news site. We are not FreePSL. More coverage from this desk is on the [Looksmaxxing section](/category/looksmaxxing).

What is a PSL rating?

PSL is a 1 to 8 scale for how a face looks. It is widely used in looksmaxxing communities on TikTok, Reddit, and Discord. FreePSL places a score into tiers, from a very low range up to the top of that scale.

FreePSL says most people score between about 3.0 and 5.5.

How the free PSL test works

  1. Go to freepsl.com.
  2. Upload one clear, front-facing photo (JPEG, PNG, or WebP, up to 10 MB).
  3. FreePSL's AI looks at facial geometry, feature proportions, skin quality, and sexual dimorphism. Sexual dimorphism means how male or female the features look.
  4. In seconds you get an overall PSL score, a score for each of four categories, and a percentile against other users. A percentile says what share of other users scored lower.

For a more consistent read, FreePSL recommends good lighting, a front-facing photo, and no heavy filters.

The 4 PSL categories

  • Harmony: how well all facial features work together as a whole.
  • Dimorphism: how distinctly masculine or feminine features appear.
  • Angularity: definition of the jawline, cheekbones, and chin.
  • Miscellaneous: skin quality, eyebrow shape, nose shape, and teeth or smile.

The Hunter Eye Test

FreePSL also offers a Hunter Eye Test. From one front-facing photo it returns a hunter eye look score from 1 to 8 and an eye symmetry score from 1 to 8. The site says face detection runs in your browser.

Results take about 10 seconds.

Is FreePSL free?

Yes. The core PSL test is free and needs no account. FreePSL also lists other tools, including the Hunter Eye Test and an optional paid Looksmax Report.

You do not need that paid report to get a PSL score from the core test. See freepsl.com for what else is listed.

How accurate is it?

FreePSL says a PSL score is an AI generated estimate for entertainment. It does not define your worth. Classy AI News has not run a lab study that compares these scores with human raters or with another tool.

The same face can score differently if the light, the angle, or the filters change. Use the number as a snapshot, not a measure of health or of worth.

Is it private?

According to FreePSL's privacy policy, photos from guest use without signing in are not stored. Face photos are not sent to third party AI services. Photos are not used to train FreePSL's own models.

Signed in users can request data deletion. That is FreePSL's own policy. Read it on freepsl.com before you upload a photo.

A sensible way to use it

FreePSL says PSL scores are AI generated estimates for entertainment only. They do not define your worth. Treat the number as a snapshot, not a verdict.

This is not medical advice. A score is not a reason to shame anyone.
